Easter 2010

Well I'm always a little behind getting stuff on my blog, but better late than never. So our Easter was great this year. First we dyed about 50 eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide in our house. Adam loved it, he just wanted egg after egg. He wasn't happy when they were all done. Saturday we went up to Tad's parents house to have dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt. It was nice to see the family again and the kids still like doing the Easter Egg hunt, even though they are getting older. The Easter Bunny has to be pretty creative in hiding the eggs, so it's not too easy. We had a ham and turkey with all the fixin's for dinner. Yum. Easter Sunday the kids looked all over the house for eggs, Adam makes holiday's so much fun, he kept saying "I found one" and he would get so excited every time. The whole week after Easter he kept looking for eggs in the house, it was really cute. I love when Easter falls on General Conference, we had to record Saturdays and watch them on Sunday. I don't know how much my kids heard of it, but it was awesome and it helped me focus more on the true meaning of Easter.

Here's all the kids dying eggs.

Dayna's Prom & Birthday

Dayna has has quite the exciting month. She got to go to prom with her friend Jordan. For the "day date" ( we never did that when I was in high school) Her group picked her up at 8am to go eat breakfast and play games and one of the boys houses. They brought her back home about 1pm and said they would be picking her up to get pictures done at 4pm. My friend Loretta helped me do Dayna's hair and make-up. She did such a great job on both. The dance was held at a really fancy restaurant in Sandy called Lacaii (i think that's how u spell it). They had a really nice dinner also. Dayna said it was so beautiful there and she had such a great time with all her friends.

My beautiful Dayna,
makes me want to cry , my little girl is growing up too fast

I love the backdrop they used for these pictures.

Dayna also celebrated her 17th birthday, I have to keep saying that to myself over and over, cause I can't hardly believe it! On her birthday I took her out for breakfast at Denny's she got the free Birthday Grand Slam. Then we went shopping and Dayna picked out a really cute shirt and necklace. She changed into it before I dropped her off at school. That night we had a little family party for her, she got a box to with little drawers to put all her jewelry in. She also got the movie "The Blind Side". We had chocolate cake and Dayna's favorite ice cream, cookie dough. Friday night she invited her friends over for a movie party. Thanks to Tad we had plenty of pizza. The kids talked and played with the balloons for a little while and then they went upstairs to watch the movie. It was a little crowded, but I think they all had a good time.

I am so happy that Dayna' has such good friends.

Home Makeover

So we have been really busy lately, painting and re-decorating our main floor. I'd like to say a HUGE THANK-YOU to my sister-in-law Jeanie and my brother Anthony for all of their help. I couldn't have done it without them. I took some before and after pictures so you can see the drastic change.

This is my old front room, with exception of the slip cover on the couch, here's Adam on the old couch . I only had this picture of Dayna in front of the piano wall, but you can still see what it looked like.
This is my new living room I love it!

Here's some pictures of my old apple kitchen

This is my new kitchen. No that brick is not wallpaper , Jeanie hand-painted these bricks one by one. It looks so real, I love it!

I could only find this picture of Tad holding baby Adam, in our old bedroom, but you can see that it used to be red and yellow.
This is my new bedroom, I love the comforter the most, it's this really soft micro-suede and it is soo warm and cozy.
This summer we are going to start working on getting the upstairs re-done. Should be fun!

A picture says a thousand words

Since I haven't blogged in so long it would take me forever to write about all the things that have happened the past little while. So I am just going to post some pictures.

Temple Square just before Christmas, it was a beautiful night, not too cold and the snow was lightly falling.

Christmas 2009, Dayna and Jason loved their Ipod's and Ryan loved the Rock Band game. Adam didn't really care what was in the presents he just loved opening them!

Dayna and Hunter, her Date to the Sweethearts Dance. They had a great time together. I'm still in denial that my daughter is almost 17

Jason's 14th Birthday

Jason turned 14 on Dec. 16th. I can't believe he's that old, time is going by too fast. We celebrated his birthday by taking him out to breakfast that morning. We ate a Village Inn, it was yummy. After that he checked in to school for the rest of the day. That night we had a little family party, where I made his favorite dessert, we call it Cherry Stuff, it's basically a dump cake. Everyone loves it. He opened his presents, he got an original XBOX (his old one broke a few months ago). he was happy to get another so he could play all his games again. The Dayna, Ryan and Adam gave him some of his favorite candy. A few days later on Saturday, was Jason's friend party, I tried to talk him into just inviting a few friends and going to a movie or something, no such luck. He wanted to invite like 12 of his friends over and play games and stuff. I think about 8 kids came, it was crazy but fun. I think they all had a good time. Jason is excited to go to his first Stake dance this weekend. I can't even picture him dancing with girls. It totally freaks me out. I was going to post some pictures of Jason's birthday , but I can't get my camera to upload them at the moment, so I will post those later.
