Crazy Summer of 2010- Part 2

Ok I had to split this up into two posts, it was getting way too long. Here are some other things we did this summer.Splash ParkI found out about this new splash park in Riverton, it was so much fun. They has a playground that Adam loved and a Reservoir right across from it where Jason could go fishing.

Lagoon
We got to Lagoon this summer, some awesome friends of ours gave us some discount tickets so we could go. I only a few pictures, mostly of Adam since the other kids went off on their own most of the time. Adam loved the cars and he really wanted to go in the big shoe, I kept telling him his was locked, but he wouldn't believe me. Luckily a duck got out of the zoo area somehow and Adam started chasing after it--he forgot all about the shoe.

20 Year High School Reunion

I can't believe it, but I've been out of high school for 20 yrs and my daughter is graduating from high school this year. So weird, I really don't feel that old. I think our minds always stay at a certain age, like somewhere in my twenty's for me, but my body keeps getting older.
So I was really nervous and excited to go to my reunion , I worked really hard an lost about 25 lbs the previous 4 months or so before the reunion. I wish I could have lost even more, but I am still proud to have lost that much. The reunion was at the Rice Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake. It was really nice, they had a catered dinner, a short program and there was beautiful view of the city. When we got there we sat by my friend Laurie and her husband, we've kept in contact over the years, so it was nice to at least recognize someone. Next I saw my friends Kim and Terry they dated in high school. I recognized Terry he looked the same but older, Kim looked way different because she had bleached her hair platinum blonde, she had always had brown hair similar to mine in high school. It was fun talking to her again. Most of the night we went around talking to people and reading their name tags, and trying to remember who they were. Tad actually knew some of the spouse who went to Alta with him. There were some people that no matter how hard I tried I couldn't remember them. I guess they weren't one of the cool "band members". It was fun talking to everyone, but just weird. The next day they had a picnic at the park for everyone and their families. It so crazy that some of us have kids almost as old as we were when we knew each other, and they look like we did, but of course not the hair & clothes.

FUN WITH FRIENDS

We went up the canyon with some friends and had so much fun. They aren't very good fisherman and wanted Tad to teach them how to fish. Luckily they caught some fish and they were so excited they couldn't wait to take them home, I don't think my friend was very excited about cooking them. I don't like to cook or eat fish either. They boys have so much fun catching them though, they clean, cook and eat them and then I don't have to be involved. Anyway we had a nice picnic, my friend and I had a nice visit while the guys were off fishing, we had the younger kids with us and took them for a little walk. Jason was so excited to teach their daughter how to fish, he's had a small crush on her ever since she moved here. She is really cute so I don't blame him. She even wanted to watch him when he cleaned the fish, he thought that was so cool since most girls would think it was disgusting. When it got dark, we roasted marshmallows and had smores. YUM!
Well that's it I think. We had such a great summer, I am so sad it is over. But there's always next year!
