Fun Away From Home

Our family took a stay-cation this year instead of a big trip . We decided to go to Park City. We spent three days and nights at the Westgate Resort. It was soo much fun. They have so much to do there at the resort we hardly had to leave. All the rooms have full kitchens so we brought all our own food and just cooked it there. They have a indoor outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, arcade/game room, not to mention the gorgeous scenery surrounding the resort. We brought our Wii and some movies to entertain ourselves at night. Dayna and I went to the outlet stores, and got some cute stuff. It was so nice, just to get away for a few days and relax. I want to go back already. I forgot my camera so I had to take pictures with my cell phone, hopefully you can see them ok.

Dayna got to go to California with her school choir. They went to Disneyland, Balboa Island, Vegas, Crystal Cathedral. They also went to the University of California for a music clinic. At Disneyland they got to go in a recording studio and make their own CD. Hopefully we will be getting a copy of it soon. They got to see two plays, Evita & Aladdin. Dayna thought Evita was weird, but she loved Aladdin, she said the Genie was really funny. They went to Balboa Beach also. It was cold windy, so Dayna didn't even put on her swimsuit or go in the water. The rode the ferry over to Balboa island, she said that was really fun. Dayna's favorite rides at Disneyland were, California Screamin, Soarin over California, Space mountain & Tower of Terror. She was having so much fun, she forgot to take very many pictures, and she lost my camera. She reported it missing and filled a report, and miraculously a few days after she got home I got my camera in the mail. She was so relieved and so was I. I can't believe they found it.
